Setlik II

Setlik II was the inhabited second planet in the Setlik system, located near the Federation-Cardassian border in the Alpha Quadrant. It was orbited by a habitable "Ice moon". The planet was the site of a Federation colony, which had been in place for generations by the mid-23rd century.

In 2259, the USS Enterprise was assigned to transport tritriticale grain, which had been specially made to grow in Setlik II's biome, to the colony. En route, they encountered a time travel incident at the portal on Krulmuth-B, and were subsequently forced to trade the tritriticale to the Orion science vessel D'Var to retrieve the portal from them. It was believed that without the grain, the Enterprise would have to relocate the colonists.

Originally, Captain Christopher Pike wanted to celebrate his birthday on Setlik II by renting a fishing cabin, have a bottle of whiskey and have an imaginary conversation with his father, however he cancelled those plans and ended up celebrating his birthday with his senior staff.
