Septimis Minor
Septimis Minor, also known as Septimus Minor, was a planetary system in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.
History
This system was the original destination of the colony ship SS Artemis in 2274. When the ship's guidance system failed, the ship drifted off course, eventually landing on Tau Cygna V. Starfleet performed an extensive search but failed to discover the fate of the ship. (TNG: "The Ensigns of Command")
Stellar cartography
In 2371, the location of Septimus Minor was labeled in the star chart Data and Picard were studying in stellar cartography aboard the USS Enterprise-D. (Star Trek Generations, okudagram)
The name of this star system was spelled "Septimis" in the script [1] and on screen in the "Artemis" okudagram, while it was spelled "Septimus" in both the DVD subtitles, the Star Trek Encyclopedia, 4th ed., vol. 2, p. 264, in an entry where this location was described as a "planetary system", and on screen in the star chart in "Generations".
This system's name belonged to a small group of star systems, which included the Pegos Minor system, where the word "minor" was part of the name.
