Self-recrimination

Self-recrimination was the act of blaming or criticizing oneself, especially in a remorseful or persistent way.

In 2268, Spock said to James T. Kirk, "The creature's ability to throw itself out of time sync makes it possible for it to be elsewhere in the instant the phaser hits. There is therefore no basis for your self-recrimination." (TOS: "Obsession")
