Sector 9569

Sector 9569, also known as the Zalkon sector, was a region of Federation space in the Alpha Quadrant. It bordered the Cabral and Mutara sectors.

Zalkon, the Zalkonian homeworld, was located in this sector. The planet was located 2.3 parsecs (7.5 light years) from the Zeta Gelis star cluster, which was located in an adjacent sector.

A Zalkonian warship traversed this sector at warp 9.72 when it attempted to intercept the USS Enterprise-D and its passenger "John Doe". (TNG: "Transfigurations")

In the 2380s, a section of the holographic map of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, displayed to the former prisoners of Tars Lamora aboard the USS Protostar, was labeled as the Zalkon sector. (PRO: "Starstruck")
