Sector 39J

Sector 39J was a spatial region in the Beta Quadrant. The Gamma 7A system was located in this sector; this system was home to an extinct native species. (TOS: "The Immunity Syndrome")

It was possible that either this system was also known as the Gamma 7 sector in the 2260s, or the name was later changed to honor the lost system and the billions of lives that once resided there.
The quadrant of origin for this sector was based on its close proximity to Starbase 6. This starbase was located near the Canopus system, which was approximately 300 light years from the boundary between the Alpha Quadrant and Beta Quadrant.
