Science Station Delta-05

Science Station Delta-05, also known as Outpost Delta-05 or Science Station D-5, was a distant Federation science station and outpost in the Beta Quadrant. Located on a planet in sector 3-0, this outpost was on the edge of the Federation-Romulan border. It was one of nine outposts located in its sector.

History

In 2364, Science Station Delta-05 was the first stop of the USS Enterprise-D's tour of the sector. The crew of the Enterprise-D determined that the outpost had been obliterated by an unknown assailant. (TNG: "The Neutral Zone")

In 2365, the assailant was later identified as the Borg. (TNG: "Q Who")

By 2401, this station had been rebuilt. (PIC: "Disengage")

Stellar cartography

In 2259, the outpost's location was seen on a stellar cartography chart seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. The location's symbol had a blue color, indicating that it was affiliated with the Federation. (SNW: "A Quality of Mercy")

In the episode "Disengage", the location of this outpost was seen on the bridge of the SS Eleos XII on what appears to be an updated chart from Star Trek: Star Charts. Dave Blass published pictures of the set on his website.
