The Schaefer Colony was a settlement.

While they were working as couriers in 3188, Cleveland Booker and Michael Burnham once ran a Leonian poker hustle at the Schaefer Colony, in which they tilted the odds in their favor by subtly signaling each other across the table. In 3190, Booker and Burnham perpetrated the same con at a Leonian poker game on Haz Mazaro's Karma Barge, so as to prevent two Emerald Chain holdouts from winning isolynium. (DIS: "All In")
