Santos' ship was a Federation attack fighter, piloted by Santos and his co-pilot, that was one of ten ships that made up the squadron committed by the Maquis for a joint attack on a Yridian convoy along the DMZ in 2370. Santos was the group's squad leader.

After the convoy was revealed to be a trap, planned by Starfleet to neutralize Maquis resistance, Santos ordered the retreat of the rest of the fleet. (TNG: "Preemptive Strike")

The cockpit used for Santos' ship was a redress of the Type 6 shuttlecraft cockpit.
Based on Santos' role as squad leader, this vessel's class can be assumed based on its position at the head of the squadron.
