A first edition copy of the Saltavantur

The Saltavantur was a classical work of Vulcan literature.

In 2261, Spock gave a first edition copy of the Saltavantur to Christine Chapel upon her return from her archaeological medicine fellowship, not knowing that she had begun a romantic relationship with Roger Korby in the interim. An unaware Korby was impressed by the book, noting the great age of the engravings on its cover. Chapel later attempted to return the gift, but Spock insisted she keep it.
