Rumpelstiltskin

Rumpelstiltskin was a fairy tale about a dwarf that could spin straw into gold, and agreed to do so for a young maiden in exchange for her first-born child. He told her she could only keep it if she guessed his name, which she did because of a messenger from the king, and he became so angry that he stomped his foot into the ground, shaking the entire kingdom, and broke himself in two.

After Miles O'Brien read the story to his daughter in 2369, she told him that Rumpelstiltskin was actually in her room. (DS9: "If Wishes Were Horses")
