Room assignment

A room assignment was the assigned quarters typically of an enlisted or junior officer.

In 2370, Ensign Sam Lavelle wished for a promotion to lieutenant so that he could have his own room. Ensign Taurik suggested that Lavelle request a new room assignment if he was unhappy sharing quarters with him. (TNG: "Lower Decks")
