Reuben Timmins (15 February 1910–10 March 1994; age 84) was a Filmation animator who was credited specifically as the "special effects animator" for all twenty-two episodes of Star Trek: The Animated Series. He oversaw all the shots involving the USS Enterprise, which were created using a technique known as "rotoscoping". (Creating The Filmation Generation, pg. 98)
