A Ren faire, short for Renaissance fair, was a Human activity in which participants recreated a historical setting from the Renaissance or the earlier Middle Ages in Europe.

The Humans who colonized the planet Hysperia were regarded as "Ren faire types", as they sought to build a society with a medieval fantasy theme, including elements such as castles, dragons, and magic. (LD: "Where Pleasant Fountains Lie")
