Reincarnation

Reincarnation was the rebirth of an individual in another body.

In a 2269 captain's log, James T. Kirk pondered the apparent reappearance of Abraham Lincoln (actually an Excalbian posing as Lincoln), which he found difficult to attribute to reincarnation. (TOS: "The Savage Curtain")

Reincarnation is posited in Buddhism, Sikhism and Hinduism.
