Regicide

Regicide was the crime of murdering a monarch, such as a king or queen.

Harcourt Fenton Mudd's criminal record in the 2250s included being wanted for "attempted regicide" for attempting to kill a duke, though Mudd felt a duke hardly rose to the importance of regicide. (ST: "The Escape Artist")
