Reflection is the property of an object or surface to throw back light, heat, or sound without absorbing it.

In 2254, the USS Enterprise detected reflections from the surface of Talos IV. The source polarized out as rounded metal bits. Jose Tyler speculated that they could be the parts of a spaceship hull. (TOS: "The Cage")

Deral and Jadzia Dax saw their reflections on the surface of the pond in the garden on Meridian. (DS9: "Meridian")
