Real Science with Andre Bormanis is a series of specials, released on several Star Trek: Voyager DVDs.
The first is a nine-minute special released on the VOY Season 1 DVD.
In an interview from 31 March 2003, science consultant André Bormanis explains several scientific occurrences seen in Star Trek.
The short includes clips from TNG: "Yesterday's Enterprise", DS9: "Emissary", and the Star Trek: Voyager episodes "Caretaker", "Jetrel", "Cathexis", "Time and Again", "Scientific Method", "Parallax", "Eye of the Needle", "The Cloud", and "Future's End".
Bormanis explains some phenomena like the Badlands, wormholes, radiation, non-corporeal lifeforms, and time travel citing Fred Hoyle and H.G. Wells as pioneers in science fiction.
The special also includes several astronomical objects shot by the Hubble Space Telescope.
