A rat-vulture was a type of animal mentioned in the first draft script of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine fourth season episode "Body Parts". It was said to live on Kopu.

In the scene, which did not make it into the episode, FCA Liquidator Brunt gleefully imagined letting the rat-vultures of Kopu pick at the remains of Quark's innards.
