Pyrellian ginger tea

Pyrellian ginger tea was a relatively expensive beverage not available to the less fortunate, such as the Bajoran people during the Occupation.

While aboard Terok Nor, Kira Nerys discovered that a man named Vaatrik had managed to get ahold of Pyrellian ginger tea. As she liked the beverage, she took him up when he offered her some, and the two became friends. While Vaatrik may have desired Kira sexually, however, the feeling was not mutual; she later killed him after he discovered her while in the act of trying to steal a list of collaborators that he acted as a liaison for, passing information between these individuals and Gul Dukat. According to StarTrek.com, this tea was apparently from the planet Pyrellia.
According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 47) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), there was a star system named Pyrellia, which might possibly be the system of origin for this tea, in the Alpha Quadrant. [1](X) The system's primary was a G-class star. In the late 24th century, it was an independent system.
