Public service

A public service was a series of activities that aimed to meet the service would need of citizens and residents, provided by public. One who was involved in public service was known as a public servant.

In 2368, while providing information about Pardek, Data said to Captain Jean-Luc Picard, "He has been in public service since he was a young man, a senator for nine decades." (TOS: "Unification I")
