Procrastination
Procrastination was the act of needlessly putting off a task that ought to be done now because one did not want to do it.
In 2267, Commissioner Ferris accused Captain James T. Kirk of procrastinating when Kirk had declined to follow Ferris's orders and proceed to Makus III, citing his continued search for the Galileo. (TOS: "The Galileo Seven")
In 2370, William T. Riker commented on Worf's slowness to dress for a diplomatic event with the Iyaarans, saying, "If I didn't know you better, I'd say that you were procrastinating." The Klingon replied that "Klingons do not procrastinate. It is a tactical delay." (TNG: "Liaisons")
In 2374, Chakotay was impressed by Harry Kim and Seven of Nine's remarkable progress on the schematics for USS Voyager's astrometrics lab. Kim replied that Seven wasn't much for procrastination. (VOY: "Revulsion")
Later that year, Neelix encouraged Tuvok to read the rest of his letter from his family, "no procrastinating". (VOY: "Hunters")
