Preorbital course

A preorbital course was a flight path used by Federation starships for achieving orbit around a planet.

In 2266, after Captain James T. Kirk ordered a preorbital course for Rigel XII, John Farrell reported to the captain that the course was locked in. (TOS: "Mudd's Women")
