Powdered was the process of pulverizing freeze dried or dehydrated food into a fine dust for consumption. Paprika was an example of a powdered seasoning.

Powdered newt supplements were a nutritional supplement that Quark had gone into debt investing on in 2373. (DS9: "Business as Usual")

Starfleet field rations, in 2374, included freeze-dried peaches and powdered carrots. (DS9: "Sons and Daughters")
