Post-cellular compounding

Post-cellular compounding was a biological process through which the Iyaarans reproduced. This was very different than the sexual processes most other species used.

At the conclusion of the process, Iyaarans emerged fully grown from natal pods, and did not exist as children. (TNG: "Liaisons")
