Popularity contest

A popularity contest was a competition to determine who was the most popular.

In 2373, while B'Elanna Torres played Insurrection Alpha, a hologram of Chakotay expressed dissatisfaction with the command crew of USS Voyager, saying he didn't think Captain Kathryn Janeway was winning any popularity contests (i.e. the crew didn't like her). (VOY: "Worst Case Scenario")
