Polity Press Limited (sometimes referred to as Polity Books or simply Polity) is a UK-based academic book publisher specializing in the social sciences and humanities that published the UK edition of Star Trek: The Human Frontier.

Founded in 1984 by scholars David Held and Anthony Giddens, it is an independent publishing company with UK offices in Cambridge and Oxford as well as offices in Boston and New York.
