Plasma belt

A plasma belt was an astronomical feature.

In 2373, Zahir advised that USS Voyager ought to navigate away from a plasma belt to avoid Tarkan sentries. Tuvok noted that such a course would take them away from their destination, the Alpha Quadrant, to which the Mikhal Traveler replied that they would still have their ship. (VOY: "Darkling")
