Pit boss

A pit boss was an individual who worked in a casino.

In 2374, Vic Fontaine recalled once playing the Sands in 1958 when Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin showed up. They lost big in a blackjack game and Frank went to see the pit boss. Before Fontaine could recall the name of the man, Odo interrupted the story. (DS9: "His Way")

A Ferengi male worked as pit boss at Quark's Bar, Grill, Gaming House and Holosuite Arcade on Deep Space 9 in 2381. (LD: "Hear All, Trust Nothing")

In the on-screen credits of DS9: "Emissary", the character who eventually came to be known as Rom was cited as "Ferengi Pit Boss".
