Pinstripe

A pinstripe was a narrow stripe used in fashion and design.

In 2372, Chakotay lamented Starfleet's lack of imagination regarding the color and design of modular shelters, wishing they looked more cheerful. When Kathryn Janeway suggested polka dots, Chakotay replied, "I was thinking more of a tasteful pinstripe, something in blues and greens." (VOY: "Resolutions")
