Picard's blockade fleet

Picard's blockade fleet was a fleet of twenty-three Federation starships, commanded by Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise-D.
The fleet was authorized by Fleet Admiral Shanthi and assembled by Picard, for the express intention to blockade the Klingon-Romulan border, in order to prevent suspected Romulan assistance to the forces of the House of Duras during the Klingon Civil War. The fleet was ultimately successful in exposing the clandestine Romulan support due to the efforts of Lieutenant Commander Data, temporarily commanding the USS Sutherland. (TNG: "Redemption II")
