Phineas Tarbolde and the Nightingale Women was an entertainment act at The Rendezvous in Harlem.

In 1953, an advertisement poster for this act was posted near the entrance to the night club. (DS9: "Far Beyond the Stars")

This name is a reference to the sonnet "Nightingale Woman" (which the act predates by several decades) and its author Tarbolde, whom reference works like the Star Trek Encyclopedia, 2nd ed., p. 497 have given the first name Phineas.
