Performer

A performer was a person who entertained an audience.

In 1962, the Civil Rights Movement was still in its infancy and black people weren't very welcome in Las Vegas, but they could be performers. (DS9: "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang")

In 2372, The Doctor stated, "I'm a doctor, not a performer." (VOY: "Investigations")
