Perceptual test

A perceptual test was a type of test that determined how one perceived things.

In 2151, Trip Tucker took perceptual tests to determine if he was ready for the environment on a Xyrillian starship. (ENT: "Unexpected")

In 2368, Geordi La Forge gave Hugh perceptual tests to determine how he processed information, rewarding him with energy when he cooperated. Doctor Beverly Crusher likened La Forge's treatment of Hugh to that of a rat in a cage. (TNG: "I Borg")
