Pelian escort vessel

A Pelian escort vessel was a type of starship utilized by the Pelians during the 2360s.

In 2368, an unidentified vessel – operated by a radical Pelian faction based on the Beta moon of Peliar Zel – describing itself as an "escort vessel", emerged from the limb of the Beta moon following the launch of a shuttle from the USS Enterprise-D transporting Ambassador Odan. However, at the time, there was no mention of an escort, and when it was requested to the escort to process a security clearance code, they ignored the message and loaded its forward phaser banks and attacked the shuttle. As a result, the Federation shuttle lost its port thruster and both back-up stabilizers, forcing the shuttle to return to the Enterprise-D. (TNG: "The Host")
