Pavo

Pavo (Latin for peacock) was a constellation visible from Earth's southern hemisphere. Astronomical objects in this constellation were located in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. (PIC: "Disengage")

The name of this constellation was derived from Gamma Pavonis' Bayer designation. In Bayer designation, the name begins with a Greek letter followed by a genitive of the constellation's name.
