Paul Lawrence is an second assistant director who worked on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine from the third through fifth seasons. He worked in Hollywood for almost forty years.

Lawrence had two individuals, Paul Lawrence and Paul F. Lawrence named for him.

Before working on Star Trek. Lawrence was an assistant director on the television series Parenthood, Veronica Clare and Going to Extremes. He also worked on several television movies, such as A Girl of the Limberlost (starring Joanna Cassidy), The Fear Inside and Prophet of Evil: The Ervil LeBaron Story.

After his work with Deep Space Nine ended, Lawrence worked on Roswell (starring recurring Deep Space Nine star William Sadler), The Division, and Commander in Chief.

In April 2008, Lawrence was a guest of honor at the WillyCon science fiction convention held at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.
