Pastoral

Pastoral was a term used to describe art and poetry that depicted an idealistic view of the countryside.

In 2376, Michael Sullivan described Jane Eldon's poetry as being too pastoral for him and asked "Katie O'Clare" if she agreed. "Katie" said she was not familiar with the poet's work. (VOY: "Fair Haven")

Ironically, the Fair Haven program itself could be described thusly.
