Pasta mama
Pike prepares pasta mama
Pasta mama was a Human food, a dish of pre-cooked pasta lightly sautéed with egg and cheese.
In 2259, Captain Christopher Pike made pasta mama for Captain Marie Batel, who he was entertaining in his quarters while the USS Enterprise and USS Cayuga were at Outpost 4. Batel commented that they had spaghetti the previous night, to which Pike responded that pasta mama was a simple way to make the leftovers into something new. Captain Batel remarked that this could be a metaphor for the retrofit they were carrying out on the outposts, though Pike noted that process was less tasty than his meal. (SNW: "A Quality of Mercy")
