Parnassus system

The Parnassus system was a star system located just outside Federation space, adjacent to the Shangdi system and on the Gorn Hegemony-imposed demarcation line. It contained six planets, of which the second was Parnassus Beta, the site of a Human colony.

In 2259, part of this system was claimed by the Gorn Hegemony. (SNW: "Hegemony")

In the system's history, there was at least one recorded instance of a coronal mass ejection (CME). (SNW: "Hegemony, Part II")

Stellar cartography

The location of this system was labeled on Federation star charts in the mid-23rd century and on stardate 1292.4 in the early 24th century. (SNW: "Hegemony, Part II"; Star Trek: Section 31)

The name of this system was given in the USS Cayuga's file in the Federation Starship Database.
In an unused graphic shared by Timothy Peel, the planets of this system are named: Parnassus Alpha, Parnassus Beta, Parnassus Gamma, Parnassus Zeta, Parnassus Delta, and Parnassus Epsilon. Parnassus Zeta is a ringed planet. [1](X)
