The Orion Pirate Outpost was an Orion Syndicate base used for piracy and other criminal activities such as art forgery. It was populated solely by Orions, with aliens killed on sight.

In 2381, Ensigns D'Vana Tendi and Beckett Mariner took the shuttlecraft Yosemite to the Orion Pirate Outpost to seek D'Onni's help in repairing Doctor T'Ana's Caitian libido post. However, Mariner's Orion disguise wore off before they could complete their goal, and the two of them were chased from the outpost by an angry mob. (LD: "We'll Always Have Tom Paris")
