The orb ark that contained the Orb of Time

An orb ark was an ornate container used to hold an Orb of the Prophets. They were roughly rectangular with a door that opened from one of its corners. Each half of this door had a oval shaped window or jewel that allowed the light of the orb to shine through. (DS9: "Tears of the Prophets", "Shadows and Symbols")

Orb ark is the descriptive name given to the container in the scripts for "Tears of the Prophets" [1] and "Shadows and Symbols". [2] In the latter script, the container is also called an "orb box".
