An Opelian mariner's keystone was a type of medallion from the Opelian culture. Ancient Opelian captains wore them around the neck to guide lost sailors home.

In 2259, Marie Batel gifted Christopher Pike an Opelian mariner's keystone that she found on Galt. During a subsequent mission to Rigel VII, the keystone helped Pike cope with memory loss by reminding him of his emotional attachments. (SNW: "Among the Lotus Eaters")
