Ocean floor

The ocean floor was the top layer of oceanic crust found on the bottom of the ocean just above the mantle.

In 2367, Captain Jean-Luc Picard reminded Louis, who was attempting to raise the ocean floor to create a new continent on Earth, that he (Picard) was a rotten swimmer. (TNG: "Family")
