Nursing student

A nursing student was a medical student working towards becoming a nurse.

After B'Elanna Torres began purposely injuring herself in order to feel "something" in 2374, following the death of her Maquis friends in the Alpha Quadrant, she would return home and repair her wounds with a dermal regenerator. Later, in 2375, after being admitted to sickbay for a more serious injury, The Doctor found what she had done, describing "many of the wounds were treated by someone with the medical expertise of a first-year nursing student." (VOY: "Extreme Risk")
