Nightcap was a term for a final drink of the night, believed to aid in sleep.

In 2367, Lwaxana Troi invited Timicin into her quarters on the USS Enterprise-D for a nightcap, but he declined. (TNG: "Half a Life")

In 2374, in an attempt to defuse B'Elanna Torres' anger over Seven of Nine's scientific scrutiny of her and Tom Paris' romantic relationship, Paris suggested he and Torres have a nightcap. (VOY: "Someone to Watch Over Me")
