The Ni'Var satellite was a type of artificial satellite in orbit of the planet Ni'Var. The inhabitants of Ni'Var used the satellites for orbital defense.

A blinking red light, located at the rear of the satellite, signaled its activation. Soon after, the front of the satellite opened up, revealing the directed energy weapon.

In 3189, at least two of these satellites responded to the sudden arrival of the USS Discovery. (DIS: "Unification III")
