National distributor

A national distributor was a company that distributed items for sale to other outlets across a nation.

In 1953, Douglas Pabst warned Benny Russell that he had to answer to the publisher, the national distributors and wholesalers for the content of Incredible Tales of Scientific Wonder, and that none of them would want to put Russell's tales of a Negro space captain on shelves.
