Narrative subroutine

A narrative subroutine was a subroutine that controlled the plot of a holonovel.

In 2373, Kathryn Janeway required access to the subroutines of Insurrection Alpha to counteract the effects of Seska's program, but B'Elanna Torres was initally unable to give it to her. (VOY: "Worst Case Scenario")
