Nami Melumad (born 5 December 1988; age 36) is an Israeli/Dutch composer who wrote the music score for Star Trek: Prodigy and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (sans the main title theme). She also scored the Star Trek: Short Treks second season episode "Q&A". For her work on the first season of Strange New worlds, she received in 2023 a Society of Composers and Lyricists Award in the "Emerging Talent" category. In the same year she received an Emmy Award nomination for her work on Prodigy.
Career
She has composed or orchestrated for a number of productions including The Little Mermaid (2018), Church & State (2018), Abenstia (2019), and An American Pickle (2020, with Michael Giacchino). In 2022, she co-wrote the score for the Marvel superhero movie Thor: Love and Thunder (starring Chris Hemsworth), also with Giacchino.
