Riding animal

A riding animal or a mount was an animal that was regularly ridden by a rider for transportation or recreational purposes.

In 2365, Jean-Luc Picard asked USS Enterprise-D's computer to "program the holodeck for a woodland setting, with a bridle path and an appropriate mount." The computer then asked what type of mount he wanted, listing the Andorian Zabathu and Klingon Sark, before Picard specified an Arabian horse. (TNG: "Pen Pals")
